Since 1988 Edward Tosques has taught English language in the Foreign Language and Literature Program of the Università degli Studi di Firenze. In the 1970's he taught English at San Francisco's Community College Adult Education Program, and in the 1980's directed his own language school, American Language Studies, in Florence. He has had a longstanding interest in eLearning and distance education, which has matured into the present work.
